Pine Tree Quilt Shop requested that I make up a sample for the upcoming Leprechaun Shop Hop. I hesitated when I found out it was using templates. While I have used templates before, some are very limited in what you can do with them. These on the other hand were fun and there is a companion book of more quilt patterns and ideas.
The templates I used are by Creative Grids. More specifically I used the Scrap Crazy 6 template set and a Cut Loose pattern.
Using half of a batik 10″ square pack and some off white yardage. I created this.
I wanted to give this quilt a modern feel. 
I quilted it with a squiggly echo in the dark and some fern shaped feathers in the pin-wheels.
I’m looking forward to participating in the Leprechaun Shop Hop. I was hoping to pick up a couple of the other Creative Grids rulers/templates each shop is featuring.
